December 19, 2023, I became very sick. My head shook rapidly, and my hands just a litle. Went to 2 big emergency rooms and came home with no answers. My daughter said to send her a video of me talking, and she said she thought it was Essential Tremors. No one could help, and the nearest appointment to see a neulogist was in 7 months. On January 18, 2023 for the first time in at least 3 years my head was completely still. I cannot tell you how relaxing this was. OMG this is amazing!
The dosage that works for me is 2 in the morning and 2 at dinner.
I still get head shakes depending on my life style...if I drink hard alcohol, if I don't get enough rest, if life stresses me out, or if I forget to take Tremadone.

Essential tremors runs in our family. I had my mother at a neurologist, many years ago, so I knew what medications they had available for treatment. He had told me that I was showing some signs of tremors and that I would probably start showing more symptoms as I aged. And I did. Tremadone has been the margin of victory since my viral encephalitis/menengitis last June. Tremors in my hands, an effect of the virus, especially my left hand, which is my dominant hand, were so serious that I could not write legibly. After a brief use of propanalol, which my doctors prescribed and which can affect the heart in large doses, I found a description of Tremadone on line. I ordered some and ran it by my general practitioner, my oncologist, and my neurologist; they actually encouraged me to try it. After my first dose, my arms felt warm for about an hour, after which the tremors rapidly subsided. The warmth disappeared, and the tremor is now barely noticeable. I am buying Tremadone for my aunt in Germany who has been suffering from Cerebellar Ataxia for years. Getting the pills to her take ingenuity and a certain willingness to navigate the grey area of the law as you are not allowed to send them to Germany, but since I have family all over Europe, we have been able to figure it out.

I want to caution anyone considering Tremadone - it is NOT a miracle drug. Miracles in medicine are by definition doubtful. I would assume some users get a stronger response than others, some might not get any benefit, but I would advise to use it for at least two months, better three, before you decide on this. It took some 10 weeks for the full effect to take place for my aunt, and luckily she benefited hugely.
